An Evening with Akosua Adoma Owsusu
A presentation by Akosua Adoma Owusu, who is a University alum, one of Art Forum's Top Ten Artists, Huffington Post's 30 Contemporary Artists under 40, and a 2013 MacDowell Colony Fellow and a 2015 Guggenheim Fellow. She will present some of her cinematic work, and discuss "triple consciousness" - an expansion on Du Bois' concept of double consciousness that takes into account the African immigrant experience.
